Meat from wild animals and two firearms are seized in Guaraqueçaba

After an anonymous tip, two firearms, and a network of hunting and 750g pieces of armadillo were apprehended by military police company of the 1st Battalion of the Environmental Police on the morning of Monday (08/10). The action, which occurred in the neighborhood Potinga in Guaraqueçaba (coastal state), still resulted in the arrest of a man.

A team of PM was sent to a farm in the region of Potinga to investigate a complaint that a man was practicing hunting. "Arriving on the scene, confirmed the presence of a 32 gauge shotgun and a .22 caliber rifle," said the commander of the operation, Sergeant Anthony Wilson Ferreria.

According to him, the house still found a network used for hunting and pieces of armadillo. The owner of the residence of 22 years, and the materials seized were sent to the Police Station Antonina. "The young man must answer for illegal possession of a firearm restricted use and crime against the environment," said the spokesman of the unit, soldier Welton Loureiro.
